Department of Food Hygiene & Quality Control was established in the Faculty of Agriculture in 2016. This Department consists of divisions including Food Microbiology, Food Chemistry, Meat Hygiene & Inspection, Milk Hygiene, etc. Research and educational courses are performing in three laboratories including Food Microbiology, Food Chemistry, and Fish Health & Diseases.
Currently ten faculty members are working at the department in different disciplines including Food Hygiene & Quality Control, Food Sciences, Food Microbiology, etc. The department has ten faculty members consisting of 2 associate professor and 8 assistant professors. A full time staff also works in the dept.
The department has 10 PhD students in Food Hygiene & Quality Control.
